There was an upset when higher ranked DutchZZ Leiden (13-8) lost to thirteenth ranked Belgian Belfius Mons-Hainaut (8-13) in Jemappes 72-77 on Saturday. Union Mons looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by ZZ Leiden 's players. Australian-South Sudanese Lual Diing (205-1998) nailed 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Garrett Hien (206, college: Furman) accounted for 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Belfius Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. Forward Lucas Kruithof (199-2000) came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds and forward Jibbe Sicking (201-2004) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for ZZ Leiden in the defeat. ZZ Leiden's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Union Mons maintains thirteenth place with 8-13 record. Loser ZZ Leiden dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Mechelen.
